One of our core values at John I. Haas is a commitment to being an active member of the community where we live and do business. We are very proud to call Yakima home, and we think it’s everyone’s responsibility to help support the efforts of the hardworking people and organizations who help it thrive.
Recently, we had the opportunity to support a few of these great organizations and the good work they do for our community.
Capitol Theater
The iconic Capitol Theater is considered to be the gem of Yakima’s cultural scene. Haas enthusiastically supports its ongoing programs that bring a wide variety of internationally renown lecturers, music and other important cultural events to the Yakima Area.
Union Gospel Mission – Madison House
Haas is proud to support the work of the Union Gospel Mission’s Madison House, which offers programs for broadening the horizons of at-risk young people in our community by providing guidance in personal responsibility and developing character growth.
Perry Technical Institute
As a local employer, Haas appreciates the excellent training programs offered by the Perry Technical Institute. We recently made a donation that will be used toward the purchase of equipment for their Instrumentation and Industrial Automation Technology program, which will be housed in a brand new facility on the Perry Tech campus.
Citizens for Safe Yakima Valley Communities
Citizens for Safe Yakima Valley Communities (CSC) works to provide a safe place to live, work and raise a family by focusing on solving the problems facing the city of Yakima and the surrounding valley. Haas has made a monetary donation to CSC for their Graffiti Solution Program, helping to remove and prevent the occurrence of graffiti in the community.
